Sales Managers have the unique ability to combine KPI groups into Composite KPIs for group reporting. If you would like to track sales performance (or other metrics) for several employees; your Sales Manager can configure the KPI Groups for each Sales Associate to track specific performance metrics. If each numbered KPI is configured in the same way (calculation method and goals), then the Sales Manager can combine these KPIs into a single group of KPIs to see the performance of the team as a whole. In order to combine each KPI Group into a Composite KPI Group, every setting in each of the numbered KPIs for each group must exactly match the same numbered KPI in every other KPI Group you wish to make a composite KPI.

Say you want to track the total monthly Sales of Widgets for a group of salespeople. There are 10 people in the division so you create 10 KPI groups for those 10 salespeople. To track the Sales of Widgets for each salesperson, you configure KPI #1 as Display As: Units, Calculation Method: Relational to Last Year Accumulating, Relational Percent Change: +10% and Goal Type: Increasing. If all 10 groups have KPI #1 configured exactly the same, you can then combine those groups to create a composite view of all 10 groups for KPI #1. This will let you see both the performance of the team as a whole and the individual performance of your team.

If any setting in any group is different, the composite group will display undefined data. The system will try it's best to combine the KPIs, but the results will be incorrect and unusable so be sure that every setting is exactly the same for every numbered KPI for each KPI group you are trying to combine.
